BioPower — Product Description
What it is
-
BioPower is a biological insecticide based on the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana.
-
It contains spores and mycelial fragments; available in both powder (WP, ~1.15%) and liquid (LF, ~1.50%) formulations.
-
The fungal strain is a selective, naturally-occurring strain (Stanes Bb-1) effective in controlling chewing pest complexes.
Mode of Action
-
Acts mainly by contact: spores land on insect cuticle, germinate, penetrate, colonize inside, proliferate and eventually kill the insect.
-
Effective across all life stages (egg, larva, pupa, adult) of many insect pests.
-
Because it is biological, it does not cause resistance or resurgence of pests.
