Portion Insecticide Dose per litre:

Apply Sumitomo Portion insecticide as a foliar spray at the early stage of mite infestation. The recommended field rate is 180 ml per acre in 200 litres of water, which works out to 0.9 ml per litre of water.

• General Dose: Use Sumitomo Portion at 180 ml per acre in 200 litres of water for uniform foliar application.

How to Use Sumitomo Portion:

1. Check the crop for early signs of mite infestation before spraying.

2. Measure 180 ml of Sumitomo Portion insecticide for one acre.

3. Fill the spray tank with part of the required clean water.

4. Add Sumitomo Portion insecticide and mix the solution thoroughly.

5. Add the remaining water and continue mixing.

6. Spray Etoxazole 6% + Abamectin 1.5% SC evenly over the crop canopy, giving attention to leaves where mites are active.

7. Maintain thorough coverage for better contact and translaminar movement.

8. Use the prepared spray mixture promptly.

Best Time to Apply:

Apply Sumitomo Portion insecticide at the early stage of mite infestation, particularly when around 3–5 mites per leaf are observed. Early treatment of Etoxazole 6% + Abamectin 1.5% SC helps reduce mite multiplication before the population becomes difficult to manage.

Frequency of Application and Compatibility:

• Frequency of Application: Use Sumitomo Portion insecticide when mite populations begin to build. Avoid unnecessary repeated applications and rotate with acaricides having different modes of action as part of resistance management.

• Application: Apply Portion insecticide as a foliar spray using approximately 200 litres of water per acre for thorough crop coverage.

• Compatibility: Etoxazole 6% + Abamectin 1.5% SC should not be mixed indiscriminately with other crop-protection products. Avoid tank mixing with strongly alkaline materials, lime, or Bordeaux mixture. When combining it with an insecticide, fungicide, or foliar nutrient, conduct a jar test first to check physical compatibility.
